Half Term Kick-Off Session

Call Out For Young People Interested In Health

Are you aged between 13-18? Then there is a very exciting project for you that CHYPS Plus would like to tell you about!

Hackney Council is rolling out a new health project and they need young volunteers to step up and be trained as peer researchers. Successful candidates will use Twitter and Facebook to talk with other young people about health and wellbeing. If you interested then attend the training session that takes place on the 28th October 2014 12pm - 4pm. Throughout November and December you will need to be able to commit to promoting discussions through social media. This project is very flexible and you can choose when you would like to work.

You don't require any previous experience (we are especially looking for young people who have not been involved in any previous projects) and you will receive a certificate at the end. The project will be run by the Association for Young People's Health (AYPH) on behalf of Hackney council.

Places are given on a first come first serve basis so act quickly! Send an email to behealthyy@youngpeoplehealth.org.uk including your name, age, postcode (you can only apply if you are a resident or go to school/college in Hackney). You will also need to answer this quick question: Why do you think you would make a good peer researcher on health issues? - Please keep answers short! Good luck!
