Worrying is a part of everyone’s life but sometimes it can be overwhelming. There are some simple things you can do so try and stop worrying so much.
This is not chilling in front of the TV or playing a computer game, it is relaxing your mind and body and being still.
Yoga exercises can help but you will need to take some time to learn to do them right.
Exercise can help reduce anxiety. It improves your mood and generally makes you worry less.
Lots of stimulants like caffeine (in coffee, coke, tea, chocolate) can make you jittery so reduce these if you can. Think about having a good balanced, healthy diet.
This might help you focus on what the worry is and come up with a plan to solve it. Sometimes if you look at the list a few weeks later, you will realise that none of the worries came true. It might put things into perspective.
Try and set aside some time to think of really happy things. Focus on all the good positive things that might be happening or let yourself dream and wish for wonderful things. Imagine the best that can happen.
